Tunchan Parambu is a place in Tirur a small town in Malappuram, Kerala. Thunchaththu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan is considered as the Father of the Malayalam language. He was born in the 17th century in Tirur, which is in the Malappuram district. The kilippaattu style in Malayalam was introduced by Ezhuthachan.The Thunchan Memorial Trust was formed in 2001 under the leadership of the writer Mr. M. T. Vasudevan Nair.Many people with their childrenreach Thunjan Parambu, to initiate them into the world of letters on Vijayadasamiday. From the literature world many poets and teachers will be there to help the children to write on the white sands of Thunjan parambu with their fingers. There is a Research Centre, an auditorium, cottages for writers and a literary museum which are related with literature world. Thunjan parambu is also a Manuscript Resource centre of the National Manuscript Mission
