The Oachira Temple is an extremely ancient temple located in Oachira in Kollam district in the South Indian state of Kerala.
The supreme force of nature and a formless divinity or Parabrahma(the original formless power who manifests as the three supreme forms of God, namely Brahma/Vishnu/Siva) is worshiped and forms the basis of this temple’s doctrine.
As a focus for the devotee to pray and worship, a round stone acts as a representation of God in Oachira Temple. From just being a rounded rock, the form gains divinity as you see the same shape and form from any direction that you look at it.
The major annual festivals are Oachira Kali or Oachirakali (held on the first and second of Midhunam, i.e., June–July) and the twelve-day Panthrandu Vilakku (twelve lamp festival), which is held in November/December.
