Thachampara Panchayath is situated at Mannarkkad Block, Mannarkkad Taluk in Palakkad District. 

This Panchayath has area of 53.57 Sq. Km, which spreads in Palakkayam and Kallamala Villages. 

Borders of this Panchayaths are, North Chooriyodu River and Kanjirapuzha Dam, South Machamthode, East Muthikulam Reserve Forest and West is Kundanthodu. 

The first election was conducted in 1980 and B.Jayaraj Perumal and his members form the first panchayath government body. 

The ancient route Madras Kozhikkode route is passing through this Panchayath.

This Panchayath is 30km north of Palakkad Town and 5km South-East of Mannarkkad Town. 

Thachampara Village and some part of Karakurussi, Palakkayam, Kallamala Villages are in Thachampara Panchayath.

This Panchayath has 2nd Grade Position and formed in 1979.
